This "you've lost my interest" cracked me up - it was hilarious. Just my sort of humor. High five! I was also very disappointed by the last episode "The Lotto", and not just because James wasn't in it, but the characters seemed "off" somehow than how they usually are. Felt like they were trying too hard to be funny and it just didn't work. Hoping the next episode is redeeming... and with James! 6 more episodes without him? *le sigh* Love the bobbleheads...haha. Would be kickass if Robert got one. Surely he will!

I didn't even watch the entire episode "The Lotto". I fast forwarded it for James. All in all, it seemed like it wasn't a very good one.

Actually it was a waste of time to watch this last episode. The next eposide sounds to be more fun: Garden Party at Schrute Farms. I am also looking forward to the Halloween episode "Spooky". Hopefully James will in it and will be dressed up. ;D

I too did not like this episode, and it had nothing to do with James not being in it. The characters just seemed off...kind of like the writer lost his character notes and all he had as a guide were their names. There is no way that Dwight the beet farmer is going to drive the forklift straight into the wall. Add to that the fact that Jim was acting as dumb as Kevin it adds up to an awful episode.

I read that James plays squash in one episode. Can't wait to see that!!! ;D James said that he hasn't played squash since he was a little boy...

I read that James plays squash in one episode. Can't wait to see that!!! ;D James said that he hasn't played squash since he was a little boy... I read that as well and my first thought was, "I wonder if he is playing the scene straight or like he did with the fly fishing...for laughs." If I remember correctly he said it was fun to do...so I am excited to see it, too.

During the one promo for The Garden Party it looks as if RobertCA is loosening up a bit. James seems to be going a little more toward the realm of over-the-top for the comedy; up to this point he has played the character pretty straight. We'll see how this looser and perhaps more fun loving Robert translates in the episode...maybe he had too much punch.

I thought last night's episode was quite good. It was both funny and interesting.

I also enjoyed this episode and "The Office" but..... It's just the worst form of torture for me to see James in such a small role. It makes me realize how spoilt I was to be able to see his amazing skills fully utilized in both "The Practice" and " Boston Legal". On the other hand it's wonderful to see him again and I think he is terrific as Robert California....I just want MORE! .... Guess I'm just selfish.

Just finished watching yesterdays episode...it was hilarious! They totally redeemed themselves from last week. Yay! ;D but..... I was just thinking the same thing while watching this last episode. I get so excited seeing him enter the screen and yet not fully satisfied because his presence doesn't last long enough.

I agree with both of you...loved the episode, but oh so wish there was more James. The good thing is I am liking his character better after this episode. I laughed a lot during The Garden Party. This ep was the best use of the ensemble to date! ;D The great thing for James is that he is making $125k and not killing himself to do it. Truthfully, The Practice followed by Boston Legal almost did him in! If he wasn't such a perfectionist, plus being a method actor, it probably would not have been so hard on him...but, he is and it was!

$125K an episode?! I am always amazed at how much people know and always wonder how they found out these things. I was watching Hawaii 5-0 with my son the other night and I mentioned how much fun it would be to be an actor and play cops and robbers AND get paid to do it. Certainly that was the draw for James. Glad for him that he has the skills and that he gets paid:)

I agree with you JB. It must have been a gruelling schedule and he looked completely worn out by the end of "Boston Legal". I would guess "The Office" is really a dream job for him. Home with the family, not too taxing, just a couple of scenes per episode and a nice sized "pocket money" pay check. My comments are, as I said, purely selfish.
I really do hope there is a Leading Role in a feauture film somewhere in the pipeline for him. Talent like his should not be wasted.
