How do I set my avatar?
Step 1: First you will need to find an image you like, and have it saved to your computer. Then, have it resized to 100x100 pixels. When that is done, the image will need to be uploaded online somewhere online. An easy place to do this is sign up for Photobucket: www.photobucket.com . When you're image is uploaded, select and copy the direct URL to that image (which should end in ".jpg", ".png", or ".gif").
Step 2: Go to your profile by clicking the "profile" link in the top menu. When viewing your profile, click the "modify profile" link next to the text that says "Member's Bio". On the Modify Profile page, scroll down slightly until you see the field that says "Avatar URL". Paste the URL you just copied, into the empty space. Then, below that, you will see two fields for "Avatar Width" and "Avatar Height". Type 100 in both of them. Scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click the "Modify Profile" button. All done!
How do I add a signature?
Follow Step 1 from the instructions above for avatars.
Step 2: Go to your profile by clicking the "profile" link in the top menu. When viewing your profile, click the "modify profile" link next to the text that says "Member's Bio". On the Modify Profile page, scroll down slightly until you see the field that says "Signature". Copy and paste this code:
Replace the text "URL HERE" with the URL to the image you previously uploaded. Scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click the "Modify Profile" button. All done!
How do I insert a link into a post?
To insert a link, first copy and past the link into the post - then select/highlight it. Next, you should notice the 2 rows of icons above the smileys. On the second row, 3rd from the left, there is an icon of a world with a paper in front of it. When you hover over it, it will say "Insert Hyperlink". Click on that, and it will put special code before and after your link. Voila! Done.
