It's amazing how much really good stuff ends up not being in an episode. I'm so glad they keep these and include them in the season's DVD extras...what a waste if we weren't able to them!
That scene with Meredith was a hoot!

I agree JB, thank God they keep those deleted scenes for us James/Robert fans! I LOVE watching them SO much!!! I have been thinking so romantically towards Robert as of late!  |

Great scene with Meredith. I wish they could do a "Robert only" version for the very dedicated fans. There never seems to be enough of him. And yes. He does grows on you. :-)

Yes, Robert is changing and becoming more and more of an interesting character...James is finally being allowed to both add to the comedy with his character plus he is being able to let his sexy out! "It's all to the good!" (Hmmm...I hear him saying those words in my head; I think it is a line of his from RACE.)

Did you all see this deleted scene? Hahaha. Love him. For some reason..... unknown to me. I am not able to watch this particular scene  ... Sometimes being in the southern Hemisphere can be a real pain! If some kind soul could throw me a bone and try and explain the exchange between Robert and Meredith, I would be most grateful. |

Sometimes being in the southern Hemisphere can be a real pain! If some kind soul could throw me a bone and try and explain the exchange between Robert and Meredith, I would be most grateful. I can se it through Hotspotshield... OK: Andy tells Robert that the alcohol is first served at 11, but Robert goes into the party room to get drunk, I suppose. Then But Robert has a nice talking head scene where he describes his state as not destroyed and not destructive, but as erratic and off kilter. And here comes the rest of the dialogue: Meredith offering him a piece of cake: Cake? YPu seem a little down. Robert: I am...(looking very distraught) M: How about I fix you some warm milk with some burbon R: Oh, that sounds nice... M: Maybe watch a moovie under a blanket? R: Lovely. ( Then, looking suspiciously at Meredith: Wait - where is this taking place? M: In a bed in my basement... R (looking surprised): What is happening to me? The lines in your haggared face is paths that leads nowhere...your hair is the fire of hell... (R. hugs M and paths her on the back): I sincerely hope you find a sexual parther tonight...(leaves her) M. looks distraught. IMHO they cut that scene for a reason, as the writing in this scene is bad and I dont like his comment on the lines in her face when he turns her down - pure agism. Robert does not cut a sharp figure in that scene and I dont think that he plays distraught very well...no of course he does, but Roberts motivations is not very clear to me ...But i know that the actor playing Meredith has longed for a scene with Robert, and her wish certainly came through. And Robert looked great: chest hair and all... |

Thanks Scientist. I'll give it a try. It's been driving me crazy trying to find sites that I can watch "The Office" from.... and I must have my Spaderfix. (I'm sure you understand)

Scientist, I do believe you are right about the scene not fitting. I think they are trying to let the nicer gentler side of Robert come out, and those lines don't suit. BUT, it sure was funny! AND James sure looked GREAT!!!!
